How much did Iga Świątek earn at Wimbledon?

The match with Putintseva started off promisingly for the Pole. She won the first set 6:3 and there was little indication that the Kazakh representative would gain an edge in the next rounds of the competition. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old won the second set 6:1. This made it clear that the third set would decide the outcome of the match.

In this match, Putintseva once once more performed better. The 35th player in the world won 6:2 and the entire match 2:1. In this way, she qualified for the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon, where she will face Jelena Ostapenko.

The Pole finished the competition in the third round. This will bring 143 thousand pounds (approx. 721 thousand zlotys at the rate of 1 pound = 5.06 PLN) to her account. Putintseva will earn 226 thousand pounds (approx. 1.1 million PLN) for her participation in the 1/8 finals. It is worth mentioning that the prize for winning Wimbledon is an impressive 2.7 million pounds (approx. 13.6 million PLN).

All Polish tennis players have already said goodbye to the singles competition in The Championships – Iga Świątek, Magda Linette, Magdalena Fręch and Hubert Hurkacz. Jan Zieliński in doubles and juniors in the junior tournament remain in the game.
