This is how Messi’s bodyguard stopped a fan who entered the field of play

All Lionel Messi fans were there to witness the star in action, and even a fan chose to run in search of a hug from the captain on the field of play. However, the intruder was apprehended by Yassine Cheuko -the rosary’s bodyguard-, who reduced it in a matter of seconds.
The entire scene was captured by witnesses from the audience. The fan – who was wearing a Barcelona shirt with Messi’s 10 – ran half the pitch until he was inches from the captain. Alerted by the man’s actions, Cheuko started an accelerated run and managed to stop him with a kind of tackle in the torso. Before, Los Angeles FC defender Aaron Long had tried to stop the fan, to no avail.
As can be seen in the brief footage, the stadium board marked the 72nd minute of play at the time of the episode. Messi, for his part, received a shove when Cheuko stopped the fan, but remained calm. It is not the first time that the star has faced a fan who has entered the field of play in search of a greeting.
The situation was finally contained. Stadium security personnel approached Messi’s bodyguard to assist the young man and took him off the pitch. The game continued and Inter Miami was able to finish molding a very important victory.
Messi spoke following the game -although without referring to the invasion of the field of play- and said that despite being a hard-fought game, his team got a good victory for those coming up. “We got a great result. The group grows more every day and now we are going to try to get into the eight to qualify for the league. I feel good physically, thank God I can continue playing, collaborating and trying to help the team and I hope we continue like this. I am thankful for how they received me in Los Angeles”, he indicated.
