These votes represent 31.6% that must be decided by Massa or Milei, although the number of blank votes might also increase this Sunday in the runoff, regarding the general elections.

The positions of the parties in support of Massa and Milei

Together We Are Río Negro, was the first force in the Province to formalize its support for Sergio Massa in the runoff. The provincial ruling party understood that Javier Milei, from La Libertad Avanza, proposed the “chainsaw project.”

The JSRN leadership, headed by Alberto Weretilneck and Pedro Pesatti, met in Viedma a week following the general elections, with the participation of current and elected legislators and communal leaders to conclude in a position in favor of Massa. He recalled that on December 10 “40 years of operation of its democratic institutions will be completed” and valued the construction of President Raúl Alfonsín.

Another support for the Unión por la Patria candidate is from the Provincial Committee of the UCR, which there was a public proclamation and then, Several figures were present on Tuesday at Sergio Massa’s event in Cipolletti.

A week following the definition of JSRN and the UCR Committee in support of Massa; The PRO of Río Negro resolved his full support for Javier Milei ahead of the presidential runoff on November 19.

The decision was made unanimously in the party assembly, although with the absence of Aníbal Tortoriello (former gubernatorial candidate) who raised neutrality, but clarified that it does not mean a blank vote.

The position of the party body, chaired by Juan Martín and which took place in Cipolletti ten days ago, had almost no representatives from Tortoriello.

It is worth remembering that Tortoriello and Martín already differentiated themselves in the Primaries because the first supported the nomination of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and the second aligned himself with Patricia Bullrich.
