How many Venezuelans will participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games?

From August 28th to September 8th, 25 Venezuelan athletes will participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with the purpose of improving it achieved in Tokyo 2020.

The Venezuelan Paralympic Committee (The piece) detailed through its social networks the names of the 25 Venezuelans qualified for the Paralympic Games. Most of them are women, a total of 16 classified, which represents 70% of the delegation. As for the male participants, Venezuela 9 qualified 9 athletes.

The goal of the Venezuelan Paralympic delegation is to surpass the 8 medals won in the previous edition. According to Copaven President Juan José Rujano, the event will also mark Venezuela’s debut in three disciplines: parajudo, paracycling and paratable tennis.

Danitza Sanabria, classified in parajudo Richard Espinoza in paracycling and Robert Quijada, classified in paratennis, They will try to make history at the Paralympic event. Well-known names that shone in Tokyo 2020 will be repeating at the event, such as Lisbeli Vera and Linda Pérez, who won gold in that edition.

For the Tokyo 2020 games, a total of 1,000 women qualified 26 athletes who won eight medals, 3 gold, two silver and 3 bronze.
