The first phase of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 ended with the first 14 matches being held in Lahore and Multan.
Pakistan Super League 9 is going on in full swing with the first phase ending with the opening 14 matches being held in Lahore and Multan in which 9 matches were played in Lahore and 5 in Multan.
In the first phase of PSL 9, many players created new records and entered their names in the record book. Teams win and lose. Everything that happened in this phase is contained in this report.
In the 14 matches played in the first round, Multan Sultans played exactly like their name and are leading the points table by winning 5 out of 6 matches.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars also played 6 matches but they kept on trying but victory did not sit on their heads and they have now reached the verge of eviction empty handed from the event following losing all 6 matches.
Quetta Gladiator and Peshawar Zalmi are on the second and third position respectively with three victories each.
Talking regarding individual performance, Babar Azam is on top among the batsmen by scoring 330 runs in 5 matches, including one century and two half-centuries. With this century, Babar Azam became the first Asian batsman to score more than 10 centuries in the T20 format.
Multan Sultans’ Mohammad Ali and Osama Mir are on top of the bowlers’ list with 13 wickets and 13 respectively.
In the first phase of this event, 6 times the teams made the score cross the 200 mark, the honor of scoring the highest total of 214 runs also went to Multan Sultans.
So far two centuries have been scored in the event. The honor of playing the biggest innings of 111 runs went to Babar Azam. In the best bowling figure, Usama Mir took 6 wickets for 40 runs and surpassed the legend Shahid Afridi.
