How many public holidays will there be in the year 2024? Notification continues

The federal cabinet division has released the declaration of holidays in the year 2024.

According to the announcement, the first public holiday of the year will be on February 5 on the occasion of Kashmir Day and March 23 will be a public holiday for Pakistan Day.

Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be on April 10, 11 and 12 and May 1st will be Labor Day holiday while Eid-ul-Adha holidays will be from June 17 to 19. Muharram holidays will be on 16th and 17th July on Ashura Day.

Similarly, 14th August will be holiday on Independence Day and 16th September will be Eid Milad-ul-Nabi holiday while 9th November will be holiday on Iqbal Day and 25th December will be holiday on birthday of Quaid-e-Azam.

Apart from this, bank holiday declaration has also been issued according to which January 1 will be a bank holiday, with regard to optional holidays, January 1 will be an optional New Year holiday.

For non-Muslims, there will also be an optional holiday of Basant Panchami on February 14, “Shivatri” on March 8, while Shab Miraj on February 7 can also be an optional holiday and Shab Barat on February 25 will also be an optional holiday.

The Hindu festival of Holi can be observed on March 24 and Dulahandi on March 25. Good Friday 29th March and Easter holidays will be from 31st March to 1st April. There will be an optional holiday of 13 for the festival of Yasakhi.

Eid-ul-Rizwan holiday for the Bahai community will be on 21st April, Buddhist Purnima will be an optional holiday on 23rd March and Nowruz holiday for the Parsis will be on 15th August.
