“How many people knew?”: Elon Musk asks on Twitter about the accusations against his “friend” Puff Daddy

Internet users lashed out at Elon Musk after the mogul questioned in a post which high-level figures were aware of the many allegations of abuse against Sean “Diddy” Combs, even though Musk viewed the mogul as an investor and friend.

Musk came to musician.

“How many people in music and entertainment knew that?” asked Musk to his followers on October 1.

Many quickly pointed to Musk’s own ties to Combs, who federal agents arrested on charges of conspiracy and sex trafficking. The music mogul denies any wrongdoing.

“Maybe you could have asked him when he invested in your Twitter deal,” user Ryan Mac wrote in response to the tweet.

“How many times did you live with Diddy?” asked Condé Nast legal editor Luke Zaleski.

“There’s even a photo of you with Ghislaine Maxwell,” added music critic Anthony Fantano, referring to the key ally of the late Jeffrey Epstein. Maxwell and Musk were photographed together in 2014, years after Epstein reached a plea deal with Florida prosecutors over accusations of sexually abusing dozens of girls.

Part of the investments in X come from a fund linked to Combs, according to a list of financiers revealed in federal court in August.

Musk also once boasted that he and Combs are good friends, according to the new book Character Limitfrom the reporters of the New York Times Kate Conger y Ryan Mac.

He reportedly made the claim during a meeting in which an executive at Combs’ media company, Revolt TV, expressed concern about growing racism at X.

“’I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter,’ he said. [Musk]using a nickname for Combs”, according to the book. “He is a good friend of mine. “We send each other a lot of messages.”

The Independent attempted to contact Musk for comment.

Federal prosecutors allege that Combs is the architect and leader of a “criminal enterprise” involved in alleged arson, kidnapping, forced labor, bribery, obstruction of justice and sex trafficking.

Police also report recovering assault rifles with defaced serial numbers, narcotics and “more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” from Combs’ residences, allegedly used in exploitative situations that the mogul dubbed “freak offs” (wild sex sessions).

In addition, dozens of women accuse the mogul of sexual misconduct.

The media obtained a leaked video of Diddy brutally beating his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie, in a hotel hallway. He later apologized.
