On the evening of Thursday 9/05/2024, the sparkling Helena Paparizou she went up to her stage Eurovision in Malmö, Sweden and once more performed the song “My Number One» which had given her the victory in 2005 by stirring up everyone with her performing act. It was a guest appearance by the singer who returned to the institution following two decades, but it was as if not a single day had passed over her. Elena Paparizou wore an embroidered jumpsuit, created by fashion designer Vrettos Vrettakos in shades of roux blue and gold, which she was decorated with 700,000 crystals, it had a built in corset and matching booties all embroidered. For the overall look took 300 hours to build and implement as well as 1,000,000 crystals. The pending elements gave movement and shine to the garment thus creating an – yet – iconic look.
Elena Paparizou, winner of the competition in 2005, took the stage once more 19 years later and millions of jaws dropped worldwide.
It was May 2005 when the then 23-year-old singer brought Greece her first – and only – victory in the song contest by performing the track “My Number One” wearing a Roberto Cavalli creation. Yesterday she returned to the Eurovision stage and her appearance was monumental.
