Nintendo will release the Nintendo Switch OLED model in October 2021. With its larger screen and higher picture quality, the Switch OLED is loved by players.
Although the screen of the Switch OLED is larger and brighter, and the colors are more vivid, some players are worried that the new Switch OLED will become a “brand warrior”.
In order to verify how long it will take for the Switch OLED to appear branded, the foreign player WULFF DEN recently verified it through his own Switch OLED, and following 1800 hours of continuous work, the host did not appear branded.
During the test, WULFF DEN chose the screenshot of the temple ceiling in “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” as the test screen, and adjusted the screen brightness to the highest. In order to avoid the screen being darkened, the switch is constantly spammed through the setting function of the Hori Split Pad hand control. According to WULFF DEN, the Switch OLED showed no visible burn-in following 1,800 hours of testing.
WULFF DEN also contrasts with another new Switch OLED. After comparison, it is found that there is no obvious difference between the two hosts in the performance of the same screen. Only the white areas of the temple ceiling are slightly darker, and the blue-white also has a slight green tinge.
Finally, WULFF DEN concluded that the Switch OLED must be used continuously for at least 2000 hours for the phenomenon of branding. The daily use screen may be aging following 10 years. By then, for most players, they have replaced the new host, and it doesn’t matter.
