One year following the start of the vaccination campaign and before him new outbreak of cases Due to the circulation of the Delta and Ómicron variants, the Federal Health Council (COFESA) reevaluated the sanitary measures for this new wave of infections. He did it first last Thursday, when he detailed the recommendations for the isolation scheme and completed it at the meeting this Wednesday, with modifications in the test centers.

“Due to the vaccines, we do not have hospitalizations and deaths. That is why from the Federal Health Council one of the recommendations that people who do not have an indication of tests do not approach the centers so as not to continue tightening the circuit,” he said on the night of the Wednesday Carla Vizotti, who also confirmed that the vaccination period dropped from six to four months for the third doses throughout the country.

How is the new insulation scheme

  • Confirmed cases with complete vaccination schedule: the isolation is for 7 days and the 3 days until completing the 10 days should reinforce the care.

  • Confirmed cases without vaccination or with incomplete schedule: they must be isolated for 10 days.

  • Symptomatic close contact with complete vaccination scheme: Like the positive ones, they should be isolated for 7 days -without the need to test- and the 3 days until the 10 days are completed, the care should be reinforced.

  • Asymptomatic close contact with complete vaccination schedule (less than 5 months following receiving their complete primary regimen or applying the booster dose): isolation is for 5 days and the remaining 5 days should maximize care and minimize risk contacts. The Ministry of Health advises conducting isolation without the need for testing.

  • Asymptomatic close contact without vaccination or with incomplete schedule: you must perform the 10 days of isolation as has been done up to now or 7 days and a PCR.
