The state seeks to build new, planned, non-random cities characterized by green spaces, in an effort to solve the housing crisis and, on the other hand, get rid of informal housing.
Have you ever wondered regarding the connection of your psychological state to the place, housing, or architectural planning of these places, and the presence of playgrounds or parks compared to living in slums, and whether this affects the behavior of the individual negatively or positively?.. This is what Dr. Eman Abdullah Muhammad Al-Sayed, consultant, explains to you. Psychology and family therapy, in her statement to “Masrawy”.
Dr. Iman pointed out that slums pose a security and moral threat to society, cause pollution and waste of environmental and natural resources, and violate the rights and privacy of others, in addition to being poorly serviced places that represent a polluted shelter for many criminals and thieves who are used to randomness.
It presented a set of benefits to the health of the individual when living in planned places with green and spacious areas, as follows:
Architecturally designed spaces help support people’s mental health.
Places with large green areas give the individual a sense of belonging, because he lives in a place that makes him feel safe.
These places allow a person to feel a social and psychological balance.
– It also allows individuals to maintain privacy, balanced and good communication with others compared to random places.
Stay away from traffic congestion, and feel very comfortable while on the move.
Greenery and plant colors provide a feeling of positive energy and happiness.
Breathing fresh air and being in an orderly environment promotes making one’s behavior more organized and disciplined.
Living in these places helps in enhancing the individual’s sense of satisfaction and self-acceptance.
These green spaces contribute to reducing some mental disorders.
It also helps to get rid of feelings of hostility, hatred, and hatred for many people.
Improving the climatic condition, because it works to get rid of carbon dioxide and increase the percentage of oxygen.
Reducing noise and audio-visual pollution, which makes people more vulnerable to mental and physical illnesses.
With the recent multiplicity of epidemics and the spread of the new Corona virus, living in green spaces is necessary to maintain psychological peace during this period.
– Increasing children’s efficiency while studying, preventing learning difficulty and hyperactivity.
These places allow you to exercise and walk, which positively affects your health.
– Research indicated that, these architectural plans helped reduce behavioral disorders, and treat depression and stress.
It also contributes to lowering blood pressure and harmful cholesterol levels, in order to breathe clean and fresh air.
These schemes encourage mutual understanding among all, increase common values and interests, as well as enhance self-confidence.
It also allows children to move freely and safely, instead of sitting in front of the phone or the TV.
Reducing excessive stress and promoting a sense of relaxation, which leads to an increase in your positive energy.
The lack of population density in these places and the provision of adequate transportation help promote safe outing and hiking.
Reducing the risk of theft and murder, compared to random places that allow this behavior.
This environment adapts to the pressures of life and the person’s sense of his identity and being.
