World leaders rushed to congratulate the centrist French president Emmanuel Macron re-elected in French presidential electionsYesterday, Sunday.

In a statement, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated Macron, wishing him “to continue leading his country to further progress in light of the close and growing historical relations between the two countries.”
According to the results of France’s presidencies, Macron will become the first president in his country to win a second term in 20 years. In the first round, Macron won regarding 28 percent of the vote, compared to 23.15 percent for the far-right candidate. Macron had outperformed Le Pen in 2017, with an overwhelming 66.10 percent of the vote, compared to 33.90 percent.
