An inspection of the security services revealed the circumstances of a fire that broke out next to the nickname of Anba Musa al-Aswad in the Haram neighborhood, west of Giza, on Monday.
The Civil Protection Operations Room in Giza received a report from the emergency police that thick smoke was rising near the ring road with rising flames.
Major General Jaber Bahaa, Director of the General Administration of Civil Protection in Giza, pushed the fire engines led by his deputy to the West Sector, in coordination with the Haram neighborhood.
Examination revealed the ignition of waste in a garbage collection point in the Manshiet al-Bakari area, regarding 150 meters from the church. The fire was quickly brought under control without injuries.
Civil defense men are conducting the cooling process to prevent the fire from recurring, and officials from the Giza Governorate Cleanliness Authority are responsible for removing the waste.
