“How dare you?” — Rio Ferdinand on Ronaldo’s absence from the Premier League Player of the Year list

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand commented that Cristiano Ronaldo not included in the list of contenders for the title of the best player of the season in the Premier League.

The nominees for the award are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jerrod Bowen, Joao Cancelo, Kevin de Bruyne, Bukayo Saka, Mohamed Salah, Heung Min Son, James Ward-Prowse.

Ronaldo should be above three or even four guys on this list. He probably wouldn’t have been selected as the player of the season, but in general, by the decision of the selection of contenders, it is ridiculous.

Ronaldo will take this as a sign of disrespect and think: “How dare you?”. If you take into account the statistics, then he can say that he scored more than most of those present on the list, not counting Salah, Ferdinand said in his podcast.

Ronaldo was named Premier League Player of the Month twice during the season.
