How and when to play Fusion Soccer at the Ciudad Deportiva de Neuquén?

The three first Fusion Soccer fields in Patagonia They have been in operation since February at the Ciudad Deportiva de Neuquén. The new modality was invented by a man from Mendoza in 2016 and mixes soccer, tennis, volleyball, paddle tennis and squash.

It is played on an 8 x 6 meter octagonal court, closed and with a roof. This allows the ball to bounce anywhere, expanding the possibilities of action. They can play two pairs (one on each side) or individually once morest another player.

These new courts are for public use. To play you can take a turn through the page of the Ministry of Sports of Neuquén or simply go to the Sports City. Each shift is one hour long.

“We invite people to come and see the courts. It is an innovative and dynamic sport,” said Alejandra Piedecasas, the province’s sports minister. The official added that the arrival of Fusion Soccer in Neuquén is part of the #sportsrevolution, whose idea is to “look for new sports that can be used in small, open and closed places, to diversify the practice of sport.”

Representatives of the municipalities of Aluminé and Zapalla recently visited the fields of the Ciudad Deportiva de Neuquén to see what possibilities they have of implementing them in their localities. Piedecasas stressed that discipline “is an opportunity to increase adherence to sport, since those who practice it do not see it as an obligation or sacrifice, but as something fun.”

In February, Governor Omar Gutierrez announced the holding of the 1st Argentine Fusion Soccer Championship at the Ciudad Deportiva de Neuquén. There is still no defined date, but all the provinces of the country that have developed the modality will be able to participate.


Fusion Soccer is an inclusive and dynamic game that serves to train the body, but also to have fun and recreate. It is a healthy option to overcome social and individual barriers in boys and girls who present characteristics such as low tolerance for frustration, difficulties in managing anger, attention deficit, learning problems, anxiety and behavioral disorders, among other characteristics.
