Healthy Lifestyle Reduces Risk of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Study Finds
A recent study has revealed that adopting a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk of developing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The research, conducted by a team in Hong Kong and published in the journal Gut, found that for adults in midlife and older who engaged in physical activity, got enough sleep, ate a quality diet, moderated alcohol intake, or didn’t smoke, the risk of developing IBS dropped by up to 42%.
