How a closed contract with a plunger works

Companies, commercial establishments and condominiums share several challenges in common. Among them, the need to keep pipes and sewage systems free of clogs, which can prevent health problems and damage related to basic sanitation, in order to guarantee water quality and prevent complications with health surveillance agencies.

In addition, attention to pipes and sewer systems can help prevent the infestation of disease-carrying pests, such as cockroaches, scorpions, and rats, as well as major damage, such as flooding, which might cost considerable money to repair.

It is in this context that, according to Gleison Pinheiro, director of Unblocking Help – a company that provides sewer unblocking services in São Paulo (SP) -, the role of a sewer unblocker stands out, as it can help these companies in their daily lives through closed contracts.

“This type of contract is used by commercial establishments that always need hydraulic maintenance or fumigation services to keep pests away, as well as residential condominiums, where the need for these services is essential for the daily lives of residents,” he says.

According to Pinheiro, one of the positive points of the contract signed with a plunger is that, in this case, the prices are much lower compared to the so-called “emergency services”, sporadic.

According to the businessman, a contract signed with a plunger is a solution that can help customers control their expenses. That’s because, in this modality, the customer will always know how much the service will cost before doing it – a solution to hourly billing problems.

“In a fixed contract for the provision of services, the plunger can plan the service as a whole so that, in agreement with the customer, they can reach the final value of the requested service”, he explains. “This process implies the sum of care, the frequency with which it will occur and the type of service. With all this information at hand, a final value is passed on to the customer, who decides whether it is worth investing in this form of contract,” he says.

The director of Socorro highlights that, in attendance, the services of periodic cleaning of the pipe or water tank, deratization, fumigation and decupinization can be part of a fixed price contract. “The agreement process between the plunger and the customer will consider the periodicity of the service, which might be a renewal contract between semesters, for example”, says Pinheiro.
