HOUSTON — Kyle Tucker hit a three-run homer and added an RBI single to lead the Houston Astros to an 11-3 rout of the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
Houston picked up its fifth win in six games and crushed the Angels for the second straight time, beating them 11-3 on Friday.
The Astros led by a score in the fourth when Tucker homered off Tyler Anderson (5-4). The hit produced three runs and made the score 4-0.
It was Tucker’s third homer in the last five games. The first came Tuesday and was a ninth-inning grand slam to put Houston past Baltimore.
Tucker, who has 22 homers this season, added his RBI single in the fifth inning for a season-high 88 RBIs, second-most in the American League.
JP France (9-3) allowed four hits and two runs and struck out five in his return to the rotation following relief in his previous appearance.
