The Egyptian security services arrested the composer Hossam Habib, the divorced artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, following a report she submitted to the police.
Sherine demanded that she take a pledge to her ex-husband following being exposed to her and her two daughters, following assaulting her with insults and slander, and the competent authorities began to investigate Habib in the accusations once morest him.
A security force had arrived at Shireen’s residence in Giza governorate in the center of the country, arrested her ex-husband and took him to the office of the department, and notified the Public Prosecution to conduct investigations with him.
Hossam Habib had decided that he was in Sherine Abdel Wahab’s villa, following agreements between them to finish an art project.
This crisis between the two comes following the artists divorced in December 2021.
And in February 2022, the Lebanese party organizer Youssef Dandash announced the return of the duo, and they talked regarding the return of married life between them.
This issue preoccupied Egyptian and Arab public opinion at the time, due to Sherine’s great popularity, and the divorce of the duo was considered one of the most famous acts of separation in the artistic community last year.
However, the return of the duo was denied by those close to Sherine, such as legal expert Hossam Lotfi, Sherine’s legal advisor, and he said in press statements that what was published regarding the return of married life between them is incorrect.
Sherine denied that return, in a statement on Twitter at the time, and said that she alone has the right to announce any news related to her married life, and called on her fans not to pay attention to all of that.
Sherine is an Egyptian singer, who became famous in 2000, when the artist Mohamed Mohy participated in the song “Bahebak” in the album “Soura wa Dama’a”. The song achieved great success, and prompted the music production companies to bet on Sherine.
