Hospitales Ángeles, helmsman of Mexican hospital care since 1986. The hospital company, flagship of the Ángeles Business Group, has built a ecosystem of 28 hospitals, 2,570 beds, 15,000 doctors and 55 branches of specialties, in addition to having biomedical laboratories or pharmacies.
The history of the company dates back to the 1960s. In the 1990s, the group established eight more hospitals in Mexico City and six other cities across the country, including Querétaro and Guadalajara. After twenty years of existence, Grupo Ángeles accumulated twenty hospitals in more than twelve cities. With the arrival of the Great Recession, it slowed down the pace of its expansion, reaching the current 28 centers.
In recent years, the hospital group has resumed its expansion plans and has announced plans to build new hospitals in Centro Sur (Querétaro), Andares (Jalisco) and Arboledas (Mexico City). With the announcement of the new plan, Olegario Vázquez assured that the hospitals were “the jewel in the crown” of his conglomerate.
In the year 2000, the group diversified its services and acquired the Camino Real hotel chain, which now has 29 hotels in the country and fifty restaurants. Already in 2003, it acquired Grupo Imagen Telecomunicaciones, which has various radio stations in Mexico and the United States. Three years later, he bought the newspaper Excelsior and the group acquired the company Primoris, while starting a national television network.

That same 2006, the fourth leg of the company’s business emerged: the Grupo Financiero Multiva, to provide banking services and information regarding management and good investment performance.
Along the way, the company has also set up diagnostic centers to provide hemodialysis treatments to patients with chronic kidney failure; biomedical laboratories, specialized in diagnostic imaging; pharmacies, located in each of the hospitals; parking lots, restaurants and educational platforms.
Currently, Hospitales Ángeles continues to be owned by Olegario Vázquez Raña, who at 87 years of age has handed over the general management of the company to his son, Olegario Vázquez Aldir. the second generation It has been one of the main culprits in the development of the group’s subsidiaries, with special emphasis on the hotel branch.
