For a few months now, Youtubeur Carlito has taken a break from his frantic race to create entertainment and humor videos with his sidekick McFly. In question, a burn-out that he mentioned with transparency, but also the health problems of his “youngest”, his third child who came into the world on January 14.
The child suffers from Hirschprung’s disease“a very annoying malfunction”, according to Carlito, which is characterized by signs of intestinal obstruction. Consequently, and while waiting to be operated on for this rare pathology, the toddler must undergo enemas on a fairly regular basis.
This Tuesday, April 11, on Instagram, the 36-year-old videographer once more mentioned the health of his son, but for a very specific request, in the form of a real call for help. “Excuse me for interrupting the feed of your lives, BUT I am looking for this type of rectal probes for my son. It’s for giving my baby enemas and no hospital or pharmacy has them. VSis to say the state of our dear French health. Thank you for your help“, he wrote in story Instagram. The precious sesame: a rectal probe undoubtedly adapted both to the pathology and to the age of the infant, and which would therefore be very difficult to find in France.
A massively relayed appeal and awareness
With his huge community on his social networks, Carlito received a huge outpouring of support and solidarity, so his call for help was heard and his wish granted. “Thank you girls at Trousseau Hospital. Thanks also to everyone for your answers, it’s crazy, even my haters are in support haha. Thank you and strength to all the nurses, I share your incomprehension as to the state of affairs. We’re gonna shake things up It is a promise”, he wrote a few hours following his first publication. The videographer’s child should be operated on at the end of April.
The youtuber has obviously been sensitive to the working conditions of hospital staff, who – we can guess – informed him of his material but perhaps also financial difficulties. Note that if the young dad received a wave of support, he was also the subject of sharp criticismin particular for having shot a humorous video with President Macron, without having, at the time, mentioned the more serious subjects which affect the French.
