Video posted online Scorn with a comparison of the release version of the game and the pre-alpha build shown in 2014.
Judging by this video, at some point the game was completely redone. The layout of the locations remained roughly the same, but the developers reworked all the models, significantly increased the detail, improved graphics, effects, and changed the color scheme. For eight years of production, the project has changed a lot.
Also, the ElAnalistaDeBits channel released another comparison of Scorn, but already between the final version on different platforms.
- On Steam Deck, the game runs at 40fps at 800p on max settings.
- The Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X run the game at 60fps in 1080p and 2160p, respectively.
- Using a lower resolution on the Steam Deck results in blurry details.
- Scorn will get DLSS support in the future, but this feature is not available at the moment.
- The Xbox Series S version has lower distance detail and texture filtering. On Xbox Series X, the game runs at higher graphics settings.
- Download times are fast and well within the usual numbers for each platform.
- The entire line of GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards are capable of running the game at the highest settings without any problems.
Scorn is out now and available with a Game Pass subscription. The ratings of the game from the Western press can be found here.
