Sheila and Fred McCoy, an American couple, went hiking in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky on the 18th of this month, and they started live streaming along the way. Originally, the McCoys wanted to record the climbing process and beautiful scenery, but they unexpectedly found a body that was related to a major shooting that occurred recently.

According to the British “Daily Mail” report, Sierra and Fred were hiking together, taking pictures of the forest scenery along the way. However, halfway through, they discovered a group of vultures gathered in the sky above a specific area, and one of them A vulture, suspected to be holding a piece of meat. The couple believed that there might be a “special natural scene” ahead, so they happily walked towards the place where vultures gathered, hoping to capture the natural wonder.

As the two of them got closer and closer to their destination, Xie La kept shouting: “I smell a very disgusting smell, very strong, super evil!” Then the two of them followed the direction of the smell and moved forward. Fried said they initially thought there might be dead animals, which is why vultures were circling and munching. In the end, Fred did find the location of the body, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a male corpse, with obvious signs of decay.

Since Fred is a retired police sergeant, he did not appear panicked when he witnessed the scene, but acted very professionally. He immediately called the police and guided the police to the scene where the body was located. Police pointed out that on September 7, a major shooting occurred on Interstate 75 in Kentucky. The 32-year-old main suspect, Joseph Couch, fired 20-30 shots continuously on the road, resulting in multiple people at the scene. A driver and a passerby were shot and injured. When the police arrived at the scene, they found many vehicles on the roadside with bullets breaking their windows or doors, and then rushed the injured to the hospital.

As for the main suspect, Kou Chu, who escaped after committing the shooting, the police believed that he fled to the nearby mountains and launched a comprehensive arrest. They even offered a reward of US$35,000 (approximately NT$1.117 million). Now the McCoys have discovered remains that are suspected to be those of Cole in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The police said that further autopsies are currently being conducted on the remains to confirm their true identity. Other reports also pointed out that Kou was a veteran, but before the incident, he had sent a horrifying text message to his mother, stating that he was going to commit mass murder and then commit suicide.
