THE horror film Anak Kunti has just released its official teaser. In the 1-minute teaser, several characters that will appear in the film are shown. The film stars Iwa K, Ruth Marini, Jajang C. Noer, Giselma Firmansyah, Abun Sungkar, and Nita Gunawan. The film also stars Pritt Timothy, Wavi Zihan, Selvi Kitty, Rendra Bagus Pamungkas, and Kukuh Prasetyo.
Anak Kunti is a feature-length film by director Bambang Drias produced by KipasKipas in collaboration with Drias production. The film has completed its production process and is now awaiting its official release date in theaters.
“Hopefully this film will be entertaining and useful. Anak Kunti film can be more gripping and realistic. It feels like the audience will enjoy the horror impression more with the presentation of the Dolby Atmos format,” said Gito Huang as executive producer and representative of KipasKipas, through a press release received by Media Indonesia, Tuesday, (13/8).
“The plan is for this film to be released in the near future,” added Gandhi Fernando, the film’s producer.
Anak Kunti takes its theme from the most popular ghost story in Indonesia, Kuntilanak. Anak Kunti follows the story of a mother who gives birth to twins in the midst of a very critical riot between residents. When her second child is about to be born, the mother and her twin baby daughters die together. The father tries to save himself from an unknown figure. Meanwhile, the first twin who was born first has been saved by a midwife. When he grows up, the first child of the twins finds various mystical events while searching for who his real parents are.
One of the actors of Anak Kunti, Nita Gunawan said that this film will be her second horror film. She gave a little bit of information about her role in the film.
“This is my second horror film project. Here I play Wati, so I am Kunti,” said Nita.
“So not only the devil but also his son. Later the story is not reckless about the devil, not reckless about his son either. But later there will also be a conflict and the ending is also unpredictable,” continued Nita Gunawan. (M-4)
