Game News Horizon Forbidden West even prettier with the latest patch?
At the beginning of March, Guerrilla Games had deployed an update to improve its graphics, but it seems that this is not enough, since a new patch has once once more refined this aspect of the game.
An Ever Prettier Horizon
If you turned on your console to play Horizon : Forbidden West Today you may have noticed that Guerrilla Games open-world got a brand new update… but what does this update add? Named 1.09, this patch once once more corrects the script of several side quests that did not launch, but that’s not all. As we said in the introduction, it also improves the graphical aspect of the game.
Indeed, since the launch of the title on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, players have constantly pointed out this flickering effect which taints the visual aspect of certain objects such as fauna and flora for example. An inconvenience that particularly affects adventurers who use the game’s Performance mode. To prevent these elements from shining brightly without making the slightest sense, patch 1.09 (already available) will lessen this effect.
The team continues to make adjustments to game content in an effort to reduce flicker. Guerrilla Games
Now let’s hope that this second update on this subject will finally be able to solve once and for all this problem which sometimes breaks the player’s immersion.
Additions from the previous patch
As a reminder, in addition to the graphic aspect which had been modified (not enough that said), the patch deployed at the beginning of March had also made the Photo mode much more efficient thanks to the addition of many additional options. This fix increased the precision of camera control, especially when using long focal lengths and large apertures. The minimum focus distance had also been reduced and above all, the device might now move away from Aloy by 10 meters, instead of 5 in the past.
