Captain David Warner wishes Delhi Capitals player Rishabh Pant who is undergoing treatment. Warner said he hoped the player would be with the team for a match and wished him a speedy recovery. Warner wished Pant in a video shared on the team’s official pages.
“We play every season with the motivation to win the title. This time we are more motivated to crown in your absence. We will be with you on your journey until you recover. Hope you come to see the team in a match. Wishing you all the best on behalf of the Delhi Capitals family. Get well soon,” Warner said.
The car accident that shocked the sports world took place on the morning of December 30 last year. Pant was returning home in Roorkee by car from Delhi for New Year’s Eve. At Narsan in Haridwar district, 90 km from Dehradun, the car overturned following hitting a divider and burst into flames. The actor miraculously survived the accident.
Panth was rescued by the staff of the bus who was passing by at the time of the accident and took him to the hospital. After initial treatment at a nearby hospital, he was shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun. Expert treatment including plastic surgery was provided here. Later he was brought to Mumbai for further treatment. He was airlifted from Dehradun hospital to Mumbai.
