Paula Ossa won bronze in the road event (C4-5), after 1h:55’44 over 71 km, becoming the first Colombian woman to win a medal in this sport. Xiomara Saldarriaga also won third place in the discus throw (F38), with a time of 38.36m.
The diplomas were awarded to:
- Ana Lucía Pinto in Para powerlifting 61 kg, lifted 113 kg on the first attempt and took seventh place.
- Bertha Fernández, Para powerlifting 67 kg, lifted 131 kg in her second attempt and took fifth place.
- María Salomé Henao, eighth place in discus throw (F38) with a record of 33.01 meters.
- David Felipe Rendón, Para swimming 400 m freestyle (S6) with a time of 05:23.82, finishing in eighth position.
Karen Palomeque in Para athletics, qualified for the 400m final (T38) in which she will compete tomorrow September 7 at 1:35 pm, while Luis Fernando Lara will run the final in 400m (T47) at 2 pm
