**Interview with Alice Wong, Curator of Hong Kong Art Toy Story 2024**
**Editor**: Thank you for joining us today, Alice. Can you tell us what inspired the Hong Kong Art Toy Story 2024 event in Jakarta?
**Alice Wong**: Thank you for having me! The inspiration behind Hong Kong Art Toy Story 2024 comes from the vibrant art scene in Hong Kong and its potential to influence creativity in Southeast Asia. We wanted to showcase the talent of our local artists, both established and emerging, and share our unique culture through the medium of art toys.
**Editor**: That sounds exciting! What can attendees expect to see at the exhibition?
**Alice Wong**: Attendees can expect a diverse range of art toys that reflect different artistic styles and concepts. We have handpicked 20 talented artists from Hong Kong who will display their most innovative pieces. It’s a fantastic opportunity for visitors to engage with art in a playful yet profound way.
**Editor**: It seems like a significant event. How do you think art toys can impact the current art landscape in Indonesia?
**Alice Wong**: Art toys are a unique convergence of art and play, and they can break traditional boundaries in both spheres. In Indonesia, we are seeing a growing appreciation for contemporary art, and we believe that introducing this form will inspire local artists and collectors. It’s about creating dialogues and connections through a medium that resonates with many.
**Editor**: What’s your hope for the future of art toys in the broader art community?
**Alice Wong**: My hope is that art toys become recognized as a legitimate form of artistic expression. I believe they can lead to greater inclusivity in the art world, inviting individuals from all backgrounds to explore and appreciate art. This exhibition is just the beginning of a larger movement.
**Editor**: Thank you, Alice, for your insights! We look forward to the Hong Kong Art Toy Story 2024 event.
