According to Ali, a 45-year-old laborer from a poor family, his dream of acting in films could not be realized, so he wears expensive suits and styled himself on social media.

By the way, the history of honey trap is very old, which has been used by secret agencies of different countries as a weapon against each other’s agents, but these days this issue is also becoming common in Pakistan, which makes the country People are being cheated in most areas.

In South Punjabi and interior Sindh, raw material robbers have also started a series of incidents through honey trap and money trap.

According to the police, 40 to 50 people from across the country have fallen victim to honey or money traps in the last one year.

This week in Lahore, well-known playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar was also kidnapped by a woman on the phone and money was stolen.

The police have arrested the woman who made the call and her accomplices in this incident and have obtained a four-day physical remand.

Apart from the nearby areas of Kacha, Ghotki, Kashmore, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, the citizens of Karachi, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Lahore are also victims of such incidents.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Aftab Phalrawan of Organized Crime Cell in Lahore: ‘There is no organized gang involved in honey or money trap incidents in urban areas yet, however such incidents of dacoits in rough areas are dangerous. have grown An air strike has become inevitable for their elimination.’

He said that ‘Sindh And Punjab The police have put up roadblocks on the dirt roads and those going there are being warned and saved.’

This month, the Sindh Police saved Zia-ul-Hassan Jafri, a senior citizen of Karachi, from an incident by stopping him on his way to Kashmore for marriage after settling matters with a girl over the phone.

Honey and money trap method

Ali of Bahawalpur said that on 5th two months ago, he was busy working in his workshop, when he started receiving repeated calls on his mobile phone.

When I answered a call from an unknown number, I heard a girl’s voice from the other end. The woman gave her name as Alize Shah and offered friendship after being inspired by videos on Tik Tok. I separated from other colleagues and talked to him for a long time.

This initial series of conversations on the phone turned into day and night routines and love and romance started.

During the continuous conversation of a week, when we exchanged information about each other, I also did not reveal myself as a poor worker, while this girl introduced herself as the daughter of a Vadere of Sindh and offered marriage.

He said that ‘I started being insisted on calling Ghotki, but my financial situation did not allow this wish to be fulfilled.’

Ali said that the girl was insisting on getting married as soon as possible, otherwise her ‘father started getting her married to someone else.’

When I asked for the time, Aliza herself came to Bahawalpur to pick me up. Without telling anyone, I met him at Milad Chowk at 11 am and sat in the car. I also had two suits in the shopper.

‘The girl was in very beautiful and expensive clothes and told the two people who came along that she was her employee.’

He said: ‘I was given juice to drink in the car, after which I passed out. When I regained consciousness three hours later, I was riding a motorcycle and two armed men were sitting in front of me.’

Ali Raza said: ‘I was taken across the river to a camp where there were many other armed men. I was tied up and tortured and a video was made and sent to my family, with a ransom demand of Rs 1 crore.’

He further said: ‘When they came to know that my domestic conditions were very bad, they abused me more and kept taunting me that I look like a Nawab on Tik Tok. Faqra who doesn’t even have a bank account.’

After finding videos of Ali’s torture, his family borrowed five lakh rupees from relatives, after which he was dumped on the Sadiqabad road in a bad condition.

After getting freedom, Ali Raza filed a report in the police station, but so far no action has been taken in this regard.

According to Sindh Police SSP Ehsanullah Chandio: ‘After the development of telecom and internet, robbers are also using this technology for their own benefit.

“In Sindh, the series of abductions started from Ghotki district by tricking people by speaking in women’s voices, which later reached Shikarpur and Kashmore districts.”

He added that ‘honeytraps were started by the criminally involved dacoits of the Kush tribe of Ghotki, who themselves spoke in women’s voices.

After the successful operations, the robbers started using regular women for these purposes.

‘The robbers have also hired women to talk on the phone who communicate with people mostly through social media and use different methods to bring people here one way or the other.

“If a Sindhi speaker comes into their trap, the girl will speak in Sindhi and those who speak Urdu and Pashto will be spoken to in the same languages.”

Measures to prevent incidents

SP Aftab Phalrawan said that ‘honeytraps using girls and moneytraps with cheap goods or rewards are less common in urban areas.

“But the racketeers have started this operation in a systematic manner, in which unsuspecting citizens, including the young and the old, are easily trapped.”

He claimed that the police is taking vigorous action in this regard, but the problem is that most of the people who are trapped avoid reporting to the police for fear of stigmatization.

According to SP Aftab: ‘In this regard, the elimination of raw material bandits is the need of the hour. Sindh and Punjab police are conducting operations, but the robbers hide on the islands in the river.

“There is a need for a large-scale operation against them through airstrikes.
