Honestly I don’t think he will play T20 World Cup: Parthiv Patel

Mumbai: Former Indian wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel said that Ravichandran Ashwin will not be included in the World Cup squad despite his brilliance in the first match of the T20I series once morest the West Indies. Ashwin had formed an unbeaten 52-run partnership with Dinesh Karthik at the Brian Lara Stadium. He scored 13 runs off 10 balls in batting and took two wickets conceding only 22 runs in four overs in bowling.

If India decide to play with two spinners in the next match, Ravi Bishnoi will replace Ashwin in the playing XI. To be honest, I don’t think Ashwin will play the T20 World Cup. Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi and Yuzvendra Chahal should be included.

“Even in India, you won’t see three spinners playing in T20s or ODIs. The team has been playing with great strategy throughout the series. Rohit Sharma used the spinners well in the first T20I. “Usually Ashwin bowls the newball, but Rohit used Jadeja in the first six overs,” said Parthiv Patel.
