honest customer: Josiah gets the daily earnings at McDonald’s instead of a burger
When Josiah Vargas looked into the bag he was handed at the drive-through counter at the local McDonald’s, instead of fast food, it contained heaps of cash. He brought the sack back – and is now being celebrated online.
That’s what it’s regarding

A McDonald’s customer in the US was accidentally handed a plastic bag full of cash.

After a moment’s hesitation, Tiktoker Josiah brings the money back – and thanks.

Video of the incident went viral. And not all viewers would have acted in the same way.
“What’s in that bag! Your damn daily earnings », says the young user Josiah Vargas from the USA, who is active on Tiktok as @dookiedoeboy. He filmed himself in his car just minutes following experiencing the surprise of his life: he had ordered a snack at the local drive-through McDonald’s, but instead of his McMuffin and sausage he was handed a plastic bag that was packed with food.
The amazed customer found bundles of cash in it – as he later found out, around 5000 dollars. “Why are you doing this to me? Why are you putting me in such a situation?” Vargas asks the employees, facing the camera. “Don’t you know how badly I want the money?”
But he doesn’t hesitate for a second. “Now I’ll have to return that because I’m a good person, I think,” he says, getting out of the car and shuffling back into McDonald’s. There he puts the sack on the sales counter and jokingly asks “whether money is laundered here”. The reaction of those present is a chorus of “Oh my God” cries.
“They all hugged me and thanked me and cried with joy,” he says in the Tiktok video that went viral. “I think I’ll get free food for a month now.” He also received a finder’s fee of $200, he says in another video that he recorded at home. He takes it easy that he drove there a few days later, but was not recognized and therefore had to pay.
The community praises him for his actions. “Because you did the right thing, someone was able to keep their job,” praises one user. Others, on the other hand, think they kept the money. “Nah, I’m McKeep that,” jokes one.
