Over the next few months, Honda will present the new generation of its most popular model, the CR-V. In anticipation of this important moment for it, the company has shared other images of its model, confirming in passing that we will be entitled to an evolution of the design and not to a revolution.
Honda is known for its conservative side; so there are no surprises.
Regarding the shared photos, these are the first. Indeed, let us remember that our first glimpse of the model was actually the result of spy photos. The photos show some of the styling that will be found on both the front and back of the model. According to what might be seen by spies who saw the model on test, we still expect to find a CR-V a little larger than the old one, which should allow it to retain its title of Most roomy SUV in the category.
Moreover, for the signature of the headlights and lights, it is changing timidly, but what we see offers a little more character.

What will of course be interesting is that we will finally benefit from the hybrid version of the model. The company wants the latter to capture 50% of sales of the model. The regular version should also return with its 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder, an engine that currently offers 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. In the United States, the hybrid version that is currently offered provides 212 horsepower. All these figures might be revised upwards slightly with the new generation.
Otherwise, we will be entitled to the good old recipe that we know well. Honda describes its model as more robust and adventurous, which might leave space for a TrailSport version within the range; it will be to see.
We’ll get back to you when we have more information, or photos, to share regarding the model.
