Honda and General Motors Alliance

Japan’s Honda is preparing to expand its partnership with General Motors, with the duo co-manufacturing electric drive systems.

The partnership will result in joint electric models for the two companies together, with the first model to arrive from this partnership by 2027.

According to the Motor One website, the first electric model to be produced by Honda and General Motors will be exclusively for the North American market.

Negotiating the expansion of the partnership between Honda and General Motors will not stop at the manufacture of electric cars only, as the two companies seek to extend the manufacture and development of electric motors.

Motor One quoted General Motors CEO Mary Barra, who said that her group’s partnership with Honda is the main goal of which is to offer a distinct and affordable range of electric cars.
