Prior to this, Hon Hai completed the acquisition of the Ohio factory originally affiliated to General Motors in May this year, and has already started mass production of electric trucks, while the tow truck products are planned to enter mass production in the first quarter of 2023. The cooperation with INDIEV this time highlights Hon Hai’s manufacturing capabilities in the OEM and mass production of electric vehicle products.

Xiao Caiyou, chief product officer of Hon Hai, explained that in the future, he will continue to explore cooperation opportunities to manufacture more electric vehicles through the Ohio factory. At present, there will continue to be in-depth cooperation with INDIEV. More collaborative projects.

INDIEV emphasizes high-quality automotive craftsmanship and strict electronic product manufacturing standards to create models, and is expected to create a new driving experience with INDI One. The INDI One is equipped with a 95kWh battery module, with a theoretical cruising range of 275 miles (regarding 442 kilometers), and can accelerate to 60 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds. As for the suggested price, it will be set at $45,000. , aiming to compete with Tesla’s Model 3.
