“Always on Sundays” will remain with Schlager fans in 2024. One thing should not be missing: Stefan Mross will celebrate an anniversary in 2024.
Baden-Baden – He stays! Stefan Mross (47) will host “Always on Sundays” for at least another year. Südwestrundfunk (SWR) is continuing its long-standing, successful collaboration with the Traunsteiner, the broadcaster said at the request of the German press agency in Baden-Baden. The new season of the entertainment show is scheduled to start on May 26, 2024.
Stefan Mross extends “Always once more on Sundays” contract with SWR
However, SWR did not want to say how long the new contract with Stefan Mross would last and referred to confidentiality agreements. The pop star was initially unavailable for comment. Next year will be an anniversary for the 47-year-old: he will be presenting “Always on Sundays” for the 20th year in a row.

The fact that Mross was allowed to moderate the show this summer was still in doubt in the spring. There was even speculation regarding expulsion. The Leipzig district court issued a penalty order once morest the pop star in November 2022 following a physical altercation occurred between Stefan Mross and a young man in a hotel. The SWR then examined the collaboration intensively – and now wants to continue it despite all the headlines.

“Always on Sundays” regularly brings together an audience of millions in front of their television sets and is one of the highest-rated programs on Sunday mornings. In 2023, twelve live broadcasts were produced from the open-air stage built specifically for the show in Europa-Park Rust near Freiburg. In the show itself, episode following episode, a colorful mix of newcomers and established pop stars, including Beatrice Egli (35), Andy Borg (62) and Vanessa Mai (31), are on stage. The presenter’s ex is now being criticized: Claudia Jung (59) found clear words following Anna-Carina Woitschack’s (30) allegations once morest Stefan Mross.
