The film Home Sweet Loan from the production house Visinema Pictures is ready to be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting September 26, 2024. The film is adapted from a novel of the same title by Almira Bastari.
In a press release, Monday (19/8), the heart-stirring story from the novel Home Sweet Loan was adapted for the big screen by Director Sabrina Rochelle Kalangie, who previously directed the film Noktah Merah Perkawinan.
“I want this film to be a warm hug for all of us who are struggling to live and facing various problems, both
in work, social demands, family economic needs, and other responsibilities that may even arise simultaneously,” said Sabrina.
According to him, Home Sweet Loan is an important story to tell because it reveals many realities that he and his generation often face.
He believes this story is very close not only to him and the millennial generation, but also to many people out there.
Agreeing with Sabrina, one of the Home Sweet Loan players, Yunita Siregar, added, “The film Home Sweet Loan can be said to represent many young people who experience struggles when trying to realize their dreams.”

The film “Home Sweet Loan” tells the story of Kaluna (Yunita Siregar), a middle-class worker who still lives
with his parents and older siblings who are already married.
She tried hard to save and live simply to realize her dream of buying and owning her own house. However, the reality of her life as a sandwich generation, who has to support her extended family, plus her minimal income, made it difficult for her dream to come true.
The condition makes Kaluna feel like she is not at home every time she goes home. Will Kaluna be able to find a ‘home’ for her to return to?
