Would you like to attend a lecture or presentation and then wander around with your colleagues à la Lowlands on a site that continues to surprise? Want to end the day with a drink outdoors? Or be welcomed by hosts dressed in Burning Man style? These are elements that set the playful tone – a tone that you sometimes also want at business meetings. In addition to being informative, they also make a conference fun and unforgettable. Yoram Wegscheider, Head of Business Events at Thuishaven: ‘We have various areas that can be used for plenary sessions, break-outs, presentations and workshops. And all this in a setting that is never boring.’
Mix ‘n match flexibility
The party atmosphere that determines the character of the location during weekends in Thuishaven can be implemented in various ways for business events. If desired. In that respect, as an organizer you decide everything yourself at Thuishaven. Nothing is standard and that makes everything possible. Yoram: ‘We have various industrial and playful areas for 250 to 3000 visitors. The Circustent, our largest indoor space, is a true eye-catcher where we can accommodate 500 people in a theater setting and even 1200 people partying. The Mainstage, as the name suggests, is our largest outdoor area. Therefore, it is usually used for parties with bands and DJs. Our temple, a second circus tent for more interior space, will be located here from October to April. Sometimes we also build a tent here in the summer, when more space for workshops or presentations is needed. The Barhuis once more offers a cozy outdoor space for intimate meetings or workshops with smaller groups. Our Shed is the industrial eye-catcher of the site and the perfect place for an followingparty or if we need to keep it businesslike – for a cool presentation. Everything can be combined and adapted to the wishes of the client and the purpose of the event. Let your creativity run free, it’s allowed here!’
Surprise is Thuishaven’s middle name
As endless as the room layout is, so are the options for surprises. And here the elements of a site – where next-level house parties are also held, including all the experience in the field of music, sound and decoration – come in extremely handy. Because it is the other side of the event coin that ensures that conference events at Thuishaven stay with you. Yoram: ‘Our site is designed to continuously surprise guests. If you go from one area to another, you walk into a completely different setting each time. And if you look around you, you will see various steel artworks, graffiti artworks, and even an old Trabi on a container. It is a playful, inspiring and stimulating environment. This ensures that visitors are never bored and that the conference stays with them. Haha I should count how many times I hear visitors say ‘wow’.’
