ECOVACS ROBOTICS (“ECOVACS”) presented its latest innovations at the global launch event. At the event, which was broadcast live from the headquarters on August 17, CEO David Qian spoke regarding the ECOVACS mission “Robotics for everyone” and showed how it is implemented in the diverse vacuum and floor mopping robots from one of the world’s leading robotics manufacturers becomes reality. The highlight of this year’s launch is the new flagship model from ECOVACS: the DEEBOT X2 OMNI and the further development of the WINBOT W2 and AIRBOT Z2 models.

Innovative design for thorough deep cleaning

The brand new design of the DEEBOT X2 OMNI is primarily characterized by its angular shape. With a height of 9.5 cm and a width of 32 cm, the vacuum and floor mopping robot can easily get into areas that are difficult to access. The innovative square shape also has the advantage that the width of the front roller brush has increased and the floor mats are 30 mm closer to the corners. This results in a 45 percent reduction in clearance over the X1 model, resulting in even better cleaning performance. The associated OMNI station offers a fully automatic cleaning solution and can wash the wipes with hot water at 55 °C and dry them with hot air. The self-cleaning function completes the station. With a suction power of 8,000 pa, the X2 OMNI is up to 60% stronger than the previous model X1 OMNI – with the same low noise level.

The new premium flagship from the X series will be officially presented for the European market for the first time at the IFA, which takes place from September 1st to 5th in Berlin.

WINBOT W2 with advanced wet cleaning technology

The three main disadvantages of the window cleaning robots currently on the market are their difficult handling, their variable cleaning results and their safety problems in terms of possible falls. As an answer to these challenges, ECOVACS presents the WINBOT W2, a window cleaning robot with an innovative multifunction station and advanced wet cleaning technology. By addressing these disadvantages, the product improves user comfort, safety and cleaning efficiency.

The WINBOT W2 is equipped with an innovative, multifunctional station. Its long-lasting, high-capacity lithium-ion battery enables a cleaning time of up to 80 minutes. Also, the safety rope and power cable are integrated into a “two-in-one composite cable” to prevent unwanted tangling, and the W2 now features an automatic cable retraction and extension function for fully automatic operation. In addition, the control system and the suction cup on the multifunction station have been improved to increase safety and avoid the risk of falling. These improvements allow for an unprecedented level of “unrestricted” window cleaning.

To achieve better cleaning results, WINBOT products use auto-spray technology instead of dry rags or manually applying liquid cleaner. The newly released W2 model takes wet cleaning technology one step further and features three-nozzle wide-angle spray technology. This design guarantees a more even and comprehensive cleaning performance. In addition, the W2’s hardware and software have been upgraded to allow for better trajectory planning, solving edge cleaning issues. This enabled the cleaning performance to be increased by 30%.

Better air with the AIRBOT Z2

The AIRBOT Z2 sets a new standard for mobility within complex household environments with a speed of 0.7 meters per second, which is equivalent to the speed of an adult walking. To achieve this, ECOVACS has developed an AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance technology that combines various sensors such as 3D ToF, iToF and a camera. Unlike traditional air purifiers, the Z2 can purify the air as it moves, providing a constant flow of clean air throughout the home.

In order to meet the different demands of consumers for air management, the AIRBOT Z2 has a “5-Stage Deep Rejuvenation System”, which enables active air management in five dimensions: removal of air pollutants, permanent antibacterial effect, fog-free air humidification, permanent air freshening and noticeable breeze. In addition, a special hair removal and odor filtering function has been developed for households with animals. This feature effectively fights pet hair and odor through optimized air ducts and structural design, providing a cleaner and fresher living environment for pet owners.
