The Directorate of National Taxes and the Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office, took possession this Tuesday of the Tierra Santa warehouse, in the center of Valledupar, apparently for the purpose of asset forfeiture, presumably for smuggling and money laundering.

According to reports, it is an operation carried out at the national level by the authorities once morest the textile and clothing chain store. In the capital of Cesar, the diligence was carried out due to the curiosity of customers who might not enter the establishment.

For almost ten years, the DIAN and the Prosecutor’s Office have been tracking a possible money laundering network in this business, which has become one of the most popular due to its low prices, with branches in different parts of the country.

Police officers, delegates from the Prosecutor’s Office, DIAN personnel and officials from the Special Assets Society (SAE) would have participated in the operation in Valledupar, for the inauguration of the Valledupar branch of the Holy Land.
