Game News Hollow Knight Silksong is not dead! The actress shares news regarding the game
After making many players dream in 2017, the Hollow Knight license unveiled a promising sequel in 2019. Unfortunately, since this announcement, this Hollow Knight 2 entitled Silksong has been discreet, much too discreet even, which worries the players. But today, Makoto Koji, the voice of the game gives (finally) good news.
A project that takes its time
It’s during February 2019, only two years following the first launch of Hollow Knight, that Team Cherry decides to announce a big news: the metroidvania Hollow Knight will be entitled to a sequel, and it’s regarding ‘Hollow Knight : Silksong. Most unlike the first opus which puts us in the small shell of a mysterious warrior, this new chapter is entirely dedicated to Hornet, the adventurer that we might meet several times in the original story.
This heroine – whose voice is lent by screenwriter, illustrator and actress Makoto Koji (we will come back to this) – is much more agile than the hero of the first opus, which promises a freer exploration of the Gothic universe set up by developers. During this announcement, Team Cherry also announced that the heroine will face 150 new enemies and that she will wield a brand new weapon.
Unfortunately, since this announcement, the title has decided to be discreet and to avoid all virtual events such as Nintendo Direct or E3. It has therefore been almost three years now that the title has been hiding in the shadows – despite the publication of some artwork – and that fans are eagerly awaiting new information. This is where Makoto Koji comes in…
Development going forward?
If the development of Hollow Knight: Silksong seems to be stalling, it seems that this is not the case. Indeed, following a question from a fan, actress Makoto Koji, who is therefore the official voice actress of Hornet, decided to take the floor on her Instagram account to announce to everyone that her work was finally finished. .
– Are you still working on Silksong?
– Yup, I finished my work on Silksong. Makoto Koji, doubleuse via Instagram
Even if it’s only meager news, this information confirms that the long-awaited metroidvania is on the right track. Now all we have to do is wait patiently, hoping for more crispy news, such as a release date (one can dream), in the weeks or months to come.
