Holidays: 5 tips to fight the “hangover”

A hangover is a state of feeling unwell and tired that usually occurs following consuming too much alcohol. To avoid a hangover the day following a party, here are some tips to follow:

Stay hydrated!

Drink water regularly during and following drinking alcohol. In addition to helping prevent dehydration and therefore headaches, it will also restore balance to your body.

Eat!

During your evening, do not forget to eat before consuming your glasses of alcohol. This will allow your body to slow down the absorption of alcohol. Healthy foods can help absorb, such as vegetables, starches or nuts.

Avoid sugary, carbonated and caffeinated drinks!

Sugary and carbonated drinks increase the rate at which alcohol is absorbed into your body, which can intensify a hangover. Coffee, on the other hand, is very bad for a hangover, as the caffeine makes the liver work a lot.
Prefer to drink a tea that will cleanse your liver of the excesses of the day before.

Play sports !
