On the contrary, the most affordable places to buy a holiday home are Polichnitos in Lesvos, with 708 euros/sq.m., followed by Samos, with 909 euros/sq.m., and Zaharo in Ilia, with 955 euros /sq.m., and Aegio, with 1,000 euros/sq.m. Messini remains an interesting proposition again this year, with a price close to 1,040 euros/sq.m. As prices drop, there are always concessions new owners must be willing to make. Places less prominent, with less commercial or other shops, less night life options, are suitable for those who want a vacation home to be quiet and enjoy the natural beauties offered by either the mountain or the sea. Somewhere among the price comparisons are the most popular places to buy a holiday home in 2024, as announced by the large classifieds website spitogatos.gr. According to their data, the analysts have recorded the most popular areas of Corfu, Halkidiki, Kalamata, Lefkada and Loutraki, in that order.

Homes more affordable on most islands
