The winter tourism season in the eastern region of Holguín has officially begun this Saturday with the arrival of the first flight from Prague, Czech Republic, to the Frank País García International Airport. This inaugural flight marks the beginning of a period of tourist activity that will last until April of next year.
The flight, operated by the Spanish airline World2Fly on an Airbus A330-300, brought on board 285 Czech tourists as part of a new collaboration with the Czech division of the tour operator DER Touristik. According to Ian Marek, head of contracting at DER Touristik, this operation will have a weekly frequency, with flights every Saturday until the end of the season, consolidating the arrival of visitors to Holguín.
Carlos Álvarez Infante, representative of the Tourism delegation in Holguín, explained that tourists will enjoy a stay of around two weeks in different hotels in the tourist center of the province. Among the accommodation options, the Iberoestar Selection Holguín, Paradisus Río de Oro, Playa Costa Verde, Lunas Mares, Sol Turquesa and the Grand Memories Holguín in El Ramón de Antilla stand out, the latter being one of the favorites among visitors.
