After a long suspense, wizards around the world can finally rejoice: the game Hogwarts Legacy has announced its release date on Twitter. See you on February 10, 2023 to discover many magical adventures in and around Hogwarts. Are you ready for your first broom lesson?
One is happy. You are happy. Everyone is very eager to get their hands on the next game Harry Potterunveiled during one of the last showcase from PS5. Hogwarts Legacy (or Hogwarts Legacy for French speakers) is a RPG in open world which takes us on an epic quest, to the legendary music ofHarry Potter. But when will we finally receive our admission letter for Hogwarts?
The game was originally supposed to be released at the end of 2021. It has been postponed several times, in order to be developed in the best conditions, according to Avalanche, the studio behind this opus. Finally, the official release date of the game was revealed… Then slightly modified. But the worst is over: Avalanche finally released Hogwarts Legacy on PS5, Xbox X/S and PC on February 10, 2023.
Bad news though, for gamers who don’t own these consoles. The release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One is delayed: new scheduled date: the May 5, 2023. The players on Nintendo Switch are the last of the list, with a release scheduled for July 25 of the same year. As a reminder, the Deluxe Edition allows you to have access to the game 72 hours before its release on PS5 and Xbox X/S. For other platforms, the Deluxe Edition does not include early access to the game.

Lots of delay and rumors
At the beginning of January, the insider AccountNGT announced excellent news: Hogwarts Legacy might come out with a little advance, in the course of thesummer 2022. Then, on January 17, our hopes were dashed by a rumor launched by Colin Moriarty, host of the Sacred Symbol podcast. The American claims to have heard behind the scenes that the game would not be released this year and there would be issues ” of production. Information that the host might not prove at the time.
Fortunately, a final twist reassured us: the account Warner Play Brazilian and the community manager du studio Avalanche confirmed that the game was released in 2022, without giving more details on the release date. so it will be for 2023! Note, however, that it is already available in preorder at the usual retailers, as well as on console blinds…
A State of Play that finally gave news
Concerning State of Play dedicated to Hogwarts Legacythis one had therefore offered us a first glimpse of the gameplay of the game, in an open world and full of surprises! Spells, making potions, walking in nature in search of plants or animals, fighting goblins and black mages… So many nice surprises teased here, in a twenty-minute gameplay video.

Let’s talk little, let’s talk regarding the game…
Here we are at the end of the years 1800, long before the events that we know well. You arrive at Hogwarts, ready to learn all the intricacies of spells, convinced that you can bottle glory, distill greatness and even lock death…in a bottle. Flight lessons on a hall, during botanical, of metamorphosis, of care to magical creatures… Everything is there to give you a complete magical experience.
The trailer of the game gave us a glimpse that all the magical universes created by J.K. Rowling intertwine: there are many creatures presented in the films Fantastic Beastswe have to face trolls, of the dragons, of the dementors, inferis… and a mysterious masked man.
In this RPG, you can walk around freely in the castle, and even in Hogsmeade and possibly at Crossroad, if we are to believe the few images visible in the trailer. No question of strolling, however: an important quest awaits us.
Our character holds an old secret, powerful enough to harm the wizarding world. Numerous combats will punctuate our lives, on an epic soundtrack that takes up the themes main characters of the saga Harry Potter. The wizarding world is unfolding like never before, and many surprises are waiting for us.
« The bond that unites wizards is the legacy of Hogwarts. ” What link ? What secrets? So many questions we can’t wait to answer! The precise release date is not yet known, it will be necessary to wait several months before being able to play Hogwarts Legacy.
This is the Swedish studio Avalanche who gave life to this game. The studio is particularly known for the saga Just Cause and the video game adaptation of Mad Max.
While waiting for the release of the game, you must go on the hunt to obtain the highly demanded PS5. Review your spells, you will need it to complete the great story that awaits you in the world Wizard.
