Our opinion on Hogwarts Legacy – Hogwarts Legacy:
Game time : 51h (story and almost all the side quests).
Hogwarts Legacy is THE game we’ve been waiting for on a next-gen console, offering near-flawless performance, both graphically speaking and in terms of its gameplay and its history. Coast graphicsthe game leaves us the choice with the loyalty modegiving thanks to the work of the developers with a photography in tune and a game really pleasing to the eyes, and with the mode performance, emphasizing the fluidity of the game, to the detriment of graphics. But rest assured: graphically speaking, the performance mode largely does the job, offering unparalleled fluidity, very pleasant in the combat phases.
Now, the story: it is well written, intriguing enough to make you want to continue, but would have deserved to be longer and more in-depth on certain aspects, in particular on the side quests around the four student friends of the protagonist. Only quests concerning Sebastian Pallow et Poppy Sweeting are particularly well developed, leaving a little that of Refine See on the tile. The one concerning Amit is dispensable.
Coast combat phase, everything is very well thought out: the use of spells in a wheel of 4×4 spells is particularly ergonomic, allowing you to switch quite easily between the 16 spells that can be included in the wheel, the whole thing being to find the best possible combination to make your life easier, but especially your fights. Combos and effects on enemies are also well thought out, correlating with spell effects depicted in novels or movies. Other spells are also available, in specific contexts, making everything even more coherent and immersive. In short, great.
Added to this is a huge map to explore from top to bottom, the possibility of traversing it on a broomstick, a Thestral or a Hippogriff, the capture and breeding of fantastic animals, the crafting clothing, or even the cultivation of magic plants and potion making… So many different gameplay phases, blending together harmoniously, and makingHogwarts Legacy and must have on new generation consoles.
