Hempstead, NY – In a remarkable display of talent and teamwork, the Coastal Athletic Association unveiled its postseason awards this afternoon, highlighting the exceptional performance of seven members of the Hofstra Pride who earned prestigious spots on the league’s all-conference teams. This impressive achievement not only underscores the skill of the athletes but also marks Hofstra as a powerhouse, as these seven selections represent the highest number from any school in the conference.

Graduate defender Pierce Infuso, hailing from Merrick, NY, and graduate forward Jacob Woznicki, originally from Bristol, CT, both received well-deserved recognition by being named to the All-CAA First Team. Infuso’s inclusion on an All-CAA team for the third consecutive year and his second appearance on the first team speaks volumes about his consistency and impact on the field. As a 2023 All-American, Infuso played a crucial role in the team’s defensive success, starting every match for the Pride and contributing to a remarkable eight shutouts throughout the season. Offensively, he demonstrated his versatility by notching five assists, which ties him for the highest on the team. Woznicki made an instant impact in his inaugural season at Hofstra, leading his squad in scoring with an impressive total of 20 points, achieved through eight goals (the highest on the team) and four assists, showcasing his offensive prowess and adaptability.

Junior Laurie Goddard from London, England, celebrated his successful transition to Hofstra by securing a spot on the All-CAA Second Team in his first season after transferring from Merrimack. Goddard’s dynamic play yielded six goals and five assists, accumulating a commendable 17 points over 14 games, illustrating his integral role in the team’s midfield.

The Hofstra Pride saw four players – freshman forward Lennon Gill (Dublin, Ireland), graduate midfielder Roc Carles (Mataro, Spain), senior midfielder Eoin Farrell (Athy, Ireland), and senior midfielder Teddy Baker (Bawdsey, England) – earn recognition on the All-CAA Third Team. Gill, who also earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team, enjoyed a flourishing freshman season with four goals and an assist over 14 games before facing a setback due to injury. Carles made his mark with a second consecutive third team selection, contributing one goal and a career-high four assists in 16 matches this season. Farrell has also reached new heights, playing in 16 games and netting four goals for eight points, marking career-bests and garnering his first All-CAA nod. Baker, another first-time honoree, exhibited his scoring ability with five goals and two assists for a total of 12 points in 13 games, setting new personal records in both categories while establishing himself as a valuable asset in his second year with the Pride.

The Pride, currently ranked No. 18 in the nation and seeded fourth in the CAA Championship, is gearing up for their next challenge as they prepare to face off against No. 5 seed Charleston. The pivotal match is set to take place on Thursday at Elon, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m., as the team looks to continue its impressive run in the tournament.
