Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra men’s track & field team begin their indoor season with three different meets over the course of this Friday and Saturday.
The Pride will compete in the Fastrack Season Opener at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York, on Friday, December 1. On Saturday, December 2, the Pride will race in Boston at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted by Boston University, followed by the Youree Spence-Garcia Meet in Staten Island, New York. Friday’s action will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday the Pride will race in Boston at 10 a.m., and at 4 p.m. in Staten Island.
At the Fastrack Season Opener, Hofstra expects to have four entries in the 60m dash, one entry in the 400m and 800m, two entries in the long jump, one entry in pole vault and shot put, and five entries in the 5000m.
Abraham Longosiwa, Michael Silveri, and Zach Van Houten will all represent Hofstra in Boston, according to head coach Vincent Giambanco.
At Saturday’s Youree Spence-Garcia Meet, Hofstra will have six entries in the 60m dash, two in the 200m, one in the 500m, the 1000m and the 3000m, two entries in the long jump, and one entry in shot put.
