With rank 43 in the individual race of the Junior European Championships, mountain bike talent Dominik Hödlmoser (URC Koppl) fell short of his potential.
Plainfelder was around six minutes behind the winner, Albert Philipsen from Denmark. The best Austrian in the race in Anadia (POR) was Alexander Hämmerle in eleventh.
It had gone better in the team competition before. Austria with Hödlmoser took fifth place with a pure junior team. The man from Salzburg is still hoping for a nomination for the Junior World Championships in August in Glasgow.
