Interview with Hoda Kotb: A Heartwarming Reunion and Reflections on Her Journey

By Archys, Archyde‍ News Editor

Archyde: Hoda, thank you for ⁢joining us today. We’ve just seen the incredible surprise visit from your Virginia Tech sorority ‍sisters on Today. What was going through your mind when you saw them walk onto the ⁣set?

Hoda Kotb: Oh my goodness, it was such a whirlwind of emotions! I was wholly caught off guard. I mean, you’re in the ⁤middle of a live show, and suddenly, these familiar faces from decades ago are standing right in front of you. It was like ‌a flood of memories—late-night study sessions, sorority events, and just that‌ incredible bond we shared. I ‍was overwhelmed with gratitude and ⁣joy.

Archyde: That bond⁤ seems so special. What does it mean to you to have maintained those connections over the years?

Hoda⁤ Kotb: It’s everything. Life moves so fast, and in this industry, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle. But these women—thay’re my roots. They remind me of who I was ⁢before all ‌of this,⁢ and they’ve been there through every high and low. We’ve celebrated weddings, babies, career milestones, and we’ve also been there for each other ⁤during tough times. That kind of friendship is rare, and I cherish it deeply.

Archyde: You’ve been such an inspiration to so many, not just‌ as a journalist but as someone who radiates positivity and resilience. How do you stay grounded amidst the chaos of your career?

Hoda Kotb: Thank you for ⁤saying that. I think it ‌comes down ‌to ‌perspective. I’ve had my share of challenges—health scares, career setbacks—but I’ve learned that life is about finding ⁣joy in the little things. My ‍daughter Haley,‌ my family, my friends—they’re my anchors. And honestly, ⁣moments like the surprise on Today ⁣ remind me how lucky I am to have such a strong support system. ⁢

Archyde: Speaking of your career, you’ve been a staple on Today for years. As you ‌wrap up this chapter, ⁣what are you ⁢most proud of?

Hoda Kotb: Oh, that’s a tough one. I ⁤think it’s the connections I’ve made—with my co-hosts, with‍ our viewers, and with the incredible people we’ve⁢ had the privilege of interviewing. I’ve always believed that storytelling is about empathy, about making people feel seen and heard. If ‍I’ve been able to do that in any small way, then I’m proud.

Archyde: And what’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon?

Hoda Kotb: (Laughs) Well,I’m not going anywhere just yet! ‍I’ll still be part of the Today ⁢family, but‌ I’m also looking⁢ forward to spending⁢ more time with my family and exploring‍ new opportunities. I’ve always been a believer in saying “yes” to life,so who knows what’s around the corner?

Archyde: One last question—what advice would you give to someone looking to build meaningful relationships, whether in their personal or professional ⁤life? ‍

Hoda Kotb: Be present. Truly listen. And don’t be afraid to show up for⁢ people, even when it’s inconvenient. Relationships take work,‍ but⁤ they’re worth it.And ⁢remember, it’s not about the quantity ⁣of friends or connections—it’s ‍about the quality. Find your tribe, hold onto them, and never take them for granted.

Archyde: Hoda, thank you so much for sharing your time and insights‌ with⁢ us. We can’t wait to see what’s next⁤ for you!

Hoda Kotb: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure.
