**matt Petgrave:** Thank you for having me.It’s been a very challenging few months.



**Host:** The hockey community has been rocked by this loss. Could you tell us what happened that night,from your perspective?



**Matt Petgrave:** It all happened so quickly. During a routine play, my skate accidentally connected with Adam’s neck.I promptly knew something was terribly wrong.



**Host:** I can onyl imagine the shock and horror you must have felt.



**Matt Petgrave:** It was devastating. Adam was a gifted player and a truly good person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.



**Host:** The incident is still under police investigation,and while you haven’t been charged criminally,it’s understandably taken a toll. You recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to help with legal fees.



**Matt Petgrave:** Yes, the legal process has been incredibly stressful. The support from my teammates,the Steelers organization,and the hockey community at large has been overwhelming. This campaign helps me focus on navigating this very difficult time.

**Matt Petgrave:** It’s meant the world. Knowing that people who understand the game and the passion involved are standing by me is incredibly comforting.
